The Group of Companies KARAKAN INVEST mines coal at an open-pit mine Karakansky-Zapadny and an open-cut mine Evtinsky Perspektivny (Kemerovo Region, Russia).
KARAKAN INVEST produces high-quality thermal coal (grade-D). Products are used to generate electricity and heat. Part of the coal is sold without processing, the so-called «run-of-mine coal», part of the coal is processed (sorted and fractioned).
